September 15, 2010: Cool little gust front came through right at twilight and provided some nice colors over the city! also had a nice Anti-Crepuscular ray display. The first two photos were taken over the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus. In the center of the frame you can see Old father hall (tallest building) and just to the right of Old father is Memorial Stadium- A nice foreground for this striated shelf/gust front/outflow deal.

September 14, 2010: Just a quick update, not much going on lately. Next couple nights might bring more lightning ops, then might do star trails sometime this weekend. Looking forward to fall chase ops being done, cause I don't have the money to chase them. Snow and cold almost sound good now...

September 2, 2010: More photos of last nights extreme lightning posted here.

September 2, 2010: Crazy lightning display last night, as some might know I now live in Lincoln, Nebraska as I attend the University of Nebraska. From my dorm last night I got this shot out the window looking east above Vine street and 27th. Two frames stacked, three in one shot two in the other, they occured within a minute of each other. Notice the bright white "explosion" in the center, this was a transformer blowing up, it was an insane sight. Two flashes actually if you look towards the far left you can see a green flash which was a powerpole falling to the ground and reflecting off the wet cement. I've got more images from this night, but this was easily the highlight. Probably will post an account before the weekend is over, but maybe tonight, I'm not sure yet. *NOTE* this photo IS FOR SALE. Please contact me if you are interested in prints or licensing.
